T-Rex

Massive head and barrel chest held in tension; the form reads like carved ink rather than motion.

Based on a photo I took of Tristan-Otto's Skull in the Natural History Museum of Berlin. The T-Rex is presented as a controlled study of mass and structure rather than aggression. The open jaw introduces latent tension, held in check by the stability of the skull’s overall silhouette.

Ink lines define the dominant structural elements with precision, while layered tonal washes suggest depth and weight without dramatization. The absence of background narrative allows the form to assert itself as a contained, physical presence — attentive, restrained, and deliberately unresolved.
